Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) schedules maintenance power cuts across Palakkad district regularly. These are usually for line maintenance, transformer repairs, or new connection work. Palakkad district has KSEB sections in Palakkad Town, Olavakkode, Ottapalam, Mannarkad, Chittur, Alathur, Pattambi, Nenmara, and Kuzhalmannam. State-wide Daily Power Curbs: In addition to scheduled maintenance, the Kerala Government has imposed daily power curbs of upto 30 minutes between 6 PM and 12 midnight across all sections. This load-shedding is to maintain grid stability amid skyrocketing electricity demand caused by soaring summer temperatures. Cuts are rotated section-wise and area-wise, so not every area faces a cut every day. Residents are advised to charge devices and keep emergency lights ready before 6 PM.
